Bakugan B3 BakuLyte Series - was part of the newly released bakugan expansion set. The B3 BakuLyte series was released together with the new B3 BakuCore series. BakuLyte bakugan can be identified with their translucent bakugan base color instead of their solid colors. B3 BakuLyte bakugan have a special ability where they can switch to the attribute of their opponent's Bakugan which is done during a battle and before the gate cards are revealed or flipped over. B3 BakuLyte bakugan are considered "Special Treatment" or "Special FX" Bakugan and are affected by cards that target those type of Bakugan.
